Magnum Hops

German Magnum Hop Profile

Magnum is a high alpha (11-16%) variety developed in 1980 by the Hüll Hop Research Center in Germany, known in the fields for its large and heavy cones. As a daughter of U.S. Galena, Magnum produces good yields and has a high tolerance to disease. It is an efficient bittering hop with subtle citrus and green fruit notes, serving as a clean, reliable foundation for many hop bills and beer styles.

Tariffs are now applied to all European hops imported into the U.S. for the 2025 crop only. You will see a separate line item in your cart and at checkout reflecting the 12.5% tariff. If you have any questions, please reach out.
