Nugget hops were once used primarily for bittering but are now widely recognized as a true dual-purpose variety. Their high oil content allows aromatic notes of mild spice and herbs, complemented by hints of peach and pear, to come through clearly. Low cohumulone levels are believed to contribute to Nugget’s smooth, clean bitterness. This versatility makes Nugget a solid choice for styles such as IPAs, Barleywines, ESBs, and more.
