United Kingdom Fuggle Hop Profile

Fuggle is a legendary varieties in brewing and is one of the oldest lineages still in use today. Released in 1875 by Richard Fuggle of Kent, England, it was originally discovered as chance seedling in 1861 — likely in a field of Goldings — and went on to become one of the most popular English varieties of all time. Not only is Fuggle prized for its classic English aroma, but it has proven its status as a foundational breeding hop, with its descendants including Cascade, Centennial, Willamette and Nelson Sauvin.
