New Zealand Waimea Hop Profile

Developed by The New Zealand Institute for Plant & Food Research, Waimea™ is a dual-purpose hop that is well-suited for big, heavy-handed brews. Coming in strong with high alpha (16-19%), Waimea works well as a bittering hop, yet it's flavor profile brings a pleasant balance of fresh citrus and resinous pine. Aromas of tangerine, grapefruit, and pomelo can be achieved through dry-hopping and whirlpool additions. Punchy, versatile, and born for West-Coast-meets-New-Zealand IPAs.
